Lucy Zilio

Lucy Zilio is the host, associate producer and writer of the informative and entertaining (infotainment) segments called “Tuned In” seen daily and nightly during various shows on OMNI Television and City TV. Described as “one of the most upbeat, energetic and entertaining personalities on the TV scene”, Lucy’s job is to keep viewers from switching channels. Every day is different, whether she’s talking to renovation or medical experts, cooking, checking out cars at the auto show or exploring Mexico. She has worked for OMNI-TV (formerly CFMT) for 15 years.
Lucy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guelph where she majored in French and Italian. She got her first taste of broadcasting while teaching in France when she was invited as a guest panelist on a radio show. This led to a 10 year career in radio news where she worked as an anchor and reporter in Ontario (Tillsonburg, Kitchener, Cambridge and Toronto) and was part of the original anchor team that launched 680News.
A strong supporter of the community, Lucy regularly emcees charity and arts events for organizations such as the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, United Way, the Leukemia Foundation, Sunnybrook Hospital, CNIB and Microskills.
